Account Settings

Configure your account preferences, notifications, and security.

Settings Tabs

Settings are organized into primary tabs and additional options in the "More" menu:

Primary Tabs:

  • Profile: Name, email, profile photo
  • Membership: Plan, subscription, payout setup
  • Verification: Identity verification status
  • Security: Passkeys, magic links, sign-in methods
  • Privacy: Biometric consent, email preferences

More Options:

  • Handles: Social media handles for mention detection
  • Unions: Union membership for union license types
  • Images: Reference images management
  • Email: Email address and preferences
  • Notifications: Push and in-app notification settings
  • Connections: Platform integrations
  • Developer: API keys and developer mode
  • Experimental: Beta features and early access

Security Tab

Manage your authentication methods and account security:

  • Passkeys: Set up secure passwordless authentication (recommended)
  • Magic Link: Sign in via email link or 6-digit code
  • Manage Passkeys: Add up to 5 passkeys with friendly device names
  • Account Recovery: Contact support if you lose access

Note: WEIR uses passwordless authentication for enhanced security. Passkeys are phishing-resistant and don't require remembering passwords.

Identity & Handles

Manage your identity information and social handles:

  • Legal Name: Your official name for verification
  • Stage Name: Professional name if different
  • Handles: Social media usernames for improved mention detection
  • Sensitive Names: Deadnames or former names (private, used only for search)

Note: Handles are validated to strip redundant prefixes (@, u/, etc.) and extract usernames from URLs.

Images Tab

The Images tab lets you upload and manage reference images of yourself. These images are used by deep mention detection to visually match your likeness in content across the web.

  • Upload Images: Add clear, well-lit photos showing your face
  • Multiple Angles: Different angles and expressions improve detection accuracy
  • Manage Library: Remove outdated images or add new ones as your appearance changes
  • Privacy: Reference images are stored securely and never shared publicly

Tip: For best results, upload at least 3-5 reference images with varied lighting and angles. Avoid heavily filtered or edited photos.

Notifications Tab

Control how and when you receive notifications from WEIR:

  • Email Notifications: Receive updates via email for mentions, claims, and team activity
  • Push Notifications: Browser push notifications for time-sensitive alerts
  • Frequency: Choose between immediate, daily digest, or weekly summary
  • Per-Category: Enable or disable notifications for specific event types

Note: Transactional emails (password resets, claim receipts) cannot be disabled as they are required for account security.

Connections Tab

The Connections tab manages integrations with external platforms.

  • Status Indicators: See whether each connection is active, pending, or disconnected
  • Manage: Connect, disconnect, or reconfigure platform integrations

Union Tab

Configure union membership for creating union-compliant licenses:

  • Union Type: SAG-AFTRA, AEA, AGMA, or AGVA
  • Union ID: Your member ID number

Note: Union membership must be configured before creating union license types.
