Understand WEIR membership options, trial features, and how to choose the right plan.

### What Are Plans?

WEIR offers tiered membership plans that unlock different features based on your needs. Each plan provides access to specific capabilities like license monetization, advanced mention detection, team collaboration, and more.

All users start with a free trial to explore the platform before committing to a paid plan.

### Available Plans

#### Free

Basic identity protection with limited features

- 1 Protect license
- Basic mention monitoring
- View public catalog

#### Solo

For individuals starting to monetize their identity

- Multiple licenses
- Basic monetization
- Standard mention checks

#### Indie

Full monetization and identity protection

- All Solo features
- License monetization with payouts
- Enhanced mention detection
- Claims and enforcement tools

#### Pro

Professional features for serious creators

- All Indie features
- Team collaboration
- Revenue sharing
- Union license types (SAG-AFTRA, etc.)
- Priority mention scanning

#### Studio & Above

For agencies, studios, and enterprises

- All Pro features
- Multiple team seats
- Client management
- API access with higher limits
- Dedicated support

### How Trials Work

New users receive a free trial that provides access to paid plan features for a limited time. This lets you explore the platform's full capabilities before deciding on a subscription.

#### Trial Features

- Access to features matching your trial tier (typically Indie level)
- Full monetization capabilities during trial
- Countdown showing days remaining
- No credit card required to start

#### During Your Trial

- Trial badge appears next to your plan indicator
- Days remaining countdown visible on Plans page
- Some advanced features may show upgrade prompts with trial context
- You can upgrade to paid at any time to keep features

#### When Trial Ends

- Account reverts to Free plan features
- Published paid licenses become draft (suspended)
- Existing earnings remain accessible
- Data is preserved; upgrade anytime to restore access

### Managing Your Subscription

#### How to Subscribe

1. Navigate to [Plans & Pricing](/content/membership/index.html)
2. Compare features across plans
3. Click "Subscribe" on your chosen plan
4. Complete checkout through Stripe
5. Features activate immediately after payment

#### Upgrading or Downgrading

- **Upgrades:** Take effect immediately; prorated billing applies
- **Downgrades:** Take effect at end of current billing cycle
- **Cancellation:** Access continues until end of paid period

#### Viewing Your Plan

Your current plan is visible in the sidebar under "Your Plan" and in Settings → Membership. This shows your plan name, trial status if applicable, and billing information.

### Active License Limits

Each plan includes a specific number of active license slots. When you reach your limit, you'll need to free up a slot or upgrade to publish additional licenses.

- **Change to Draft:** Set an active license back to draft status to free up a slot
- **Archive:** Archive a license you no longer need active
- **Upgrade:** Move to a higher plan for more active license slots
- **Add-on Slots:** Purchase additional slots if you need more than your plan includes
