# Content Mentions

Monitor where your likeness appears across the web.

### What Are Mentions?

Mentions are instances where WEIR has discovered your name or likeness in content across monitored platforms.

#### Regular Mentions:

- Your name mentioned in posts, comments, or captions
- Tags or references to you by name

#### Deep Mentions:

- Visual appearances where your name doesn't appear
- Requires biometric consent to enable
- Higher value - finds content invisible to name-only search

### Understanding a Mention

Each mention card displays key information about the discovered content:

- **Source Platform:** Where the content was found (Reddit, Twitter, etc.)
- **Content Preview:** A snippet or thumbnail of the matched content
- **Discovery Date:** When the mention was first detected
- **Confidence Score:** How closely the content matches your identity (for deep mentions)
- **Associated License:** Which of your licenses the mention relates to

### Mention Filters

- **Valid Mentions (default):** Excludes hidden and "not me" matches
- **All Mentions:** Everything including dismissed mentions
- **License Filter:** Pre-filter to specific license via URL parameter
- **Source Filter:** Filter by platform (Reddit, Twitter, etc.)

Mention counts are consistent across Overview, Licenses, and Mentions pages using unified counting (excluding hidden and "not me").

### Running Mention Checks

You can manually trigger mention searches to discover new content:

1. Use the Inline Mention Check card on the Mentions page
2. Select which licenses to search for
3. Click "Check for Mentions"
4. Wait for search to complete (progress shown)
5. View results summary with "X new mentions found"

#### Last Check Summary

After a check completes, a persistent summary shows results from your most recent check including status, count, and time elapsed. This persists across page navigation.

### Mention Actions

- **OK / Confirm:** Mark as valid detection of your likeness
- **Not Me:** Mark as incorrect match (improves detection)
- **Claim:** Create a claim directly from this mention
- **View Source:** Open original content URL
- **Bookmark:** Save to your collection

### Bookmarking Mentions

Bookmarking lets you save important mentions for later review. Bookmarked mentions are easy to find without scrolling through your full mention history.

- **Save:** Click the bookmark icon on any mention card
- **Find:** Use the bookmark filter to view only saved mentions
- **Remove:** Click the bookmark icon again to unsave

**Tip:** Bookmark mentions you plan to file claims on later, or ones you want to reference in conversations with collaborators.

### Bulk Actions

When reviewing many mentions at once, bulk actions save time:

1. Select multiple mentions using the checkboxes
2. Choose an action from the bulk action bar
3. Confirm the action to apply it to all selected mentions

- **Bulk Confirm:** Mark multiple mentions as valid at once
- **Bulk Dismiss:** Mark multiple mentions as "not me" at once
- **Bulk Hide:** Hide multiple mentions from your default view

### How 'Not Me' Feedback Works

When you mark a mention as "Not Me," you're telling WEIR that the match was incorrect. This feedback is used to improve future detection accuracy for your identity.

**Note:** Dismissed mentions are excluded from your mention counts and default view, but you can still see them by switching to the "All Mentions" filter.
