# Experimental Features

## Learn about beta features and how to opt in to early access.

### What Are Experimental Features?

Experimental features are new capabilities that are still in development. They're available for early adopters to test and provide feedback before they become generally available.

These features may change, have limited functionality, or be removed entirely based on user feedback and development priorities.

**Important:** Experimental features may be unstable or change without notice. Use them with the understanding that they're works in progress.

### How to Enable Experimental Features

You can opt in to experimental features from your account settings:

1. Navigate to Settings in your sidebar  
2. Scroll to the "Support" tab  
3. Find the "Experimental Features" section  
4. Toggle "Enable Experimental Features" to ON  
5. Review and acknowledge the warning about stability  
6. Click to confirm your opt-in

Quick Access

Go to [Settings → Support](/content/settings/index.html) to manage your experimental features opt-in.

### What Changes When You Opt In

Once you enable experimental features, you'll get access to:

- **Beta features:** New functionality marked with "Beta" badges throughout the app  
- **Early access:** Try new features before they're released to everyone  
- **Feedback opportunities:** Help shape the future of WEIR with your input

Features that require experimental opt-in will show a  Beta badge.

### Current Experimental Features

The following features are currently in experimental/beta status:

#### Showcase Pages

Beta

Create a public portfolio page to showcase your licensed identities. Customize branding, select featured licenses, and share your unique URL.

**Note:** The list of experimental features changes as we develop new capabilities and graduate features to general availability.

### Providing Feedback

Your feedback helps us improve experimental features. Here's how to share your thoughts:

- **Bug reports:** [Submit a support ticket](/content/contact/index.html) describing what went wrong  
- **Feature suggestions:** Use the feedback category when contacting support  
- **General feedback:** We monitor usage patterns to understand how features are being used

### Opting Out

You can disable experimental features at any time:

1. Go to Settings → Support  
2. Toggle "Enable Experimental Features" to OFF  
3. Experimental features will no longer be accessible

Your Data Is Safe

Any data you created using experimental features (like Showcase pages) is preserved. If you opt back in, it will still be there.

### Plan Requirements

Some experimental features may have plan requirements in addition to the opt-in:

- Showcase Pages require a Pro plan or higher  
- Some features may require identity verification  
- Enterprise features may require specific plan tiers

Each feature's requirements are shown when you try to access it.
