What Is Payout Setup?

Payout setup connects your bank account to your WEIR account through Stripe Connect, enabling you to receive earnings from license sales. Once set up, earnings from license purchases automatically transfer to your bank account after a 7-day hold period.

WEIR uses Stripe Connect to ensure secure, compliant payouts with full tax reporting. Your financial information is encrypted and never stored directly by WEIR.

Your personal earnings from your own licenses

View-only earnings for licenses you manage (read-only, no withdrawals)

Key Metrics

  • Available: Funds ready to withdraw now
  • On Hold: Earnings in 7-day hold period

Reading the Earnings Chart

The earnings chart visualizes your revenue over time. Use it to understand trends and identify your most productive periods.

  • Time Range: Switch between 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or all time
  • Revenue Line: Shows total earnings per period
  • Hover Details: Hover over any data point to see the exact amount and date
  • Comparison: Compare current period performance against previous periods

Tip: Use the 30-day view to spot trends, and all-time to understand your overall earnings trajectory.

Fee Structure: The 1% Promise

WEIR charges a simple, transparent 1% platform fee on all license sales. You keep 99% of your earnings (minus standard Stripe processing fees).

Instant Payouts

Once your earnings clear the 7-day hold, you can choose between standard and instant payouts:

  • Standard Payout: Free, arrives in 2-4 business days via bank transfer
  • Instant Payout: 1% fee charged by Stripe, funds arrive in approximately 30 minutes

Note: Instant payouts require a debit card linked to your Stripe Connect account. Not all banks support instant transfers.

Setting Up Payouts

  1. Navigate to the Earnings page or Settings → Membership
  2. Click "Set Up Payouts" button
  3. Complete Stripe Connect onboarding (embedded in WEIR)
  4. Provide business/personal details and bank account
  5. Complete identity verification if required
  6. Accept Stripe's terms of service

Note: Setup takes 5-10 minutes. After completion, earnings automatically transfer after the 7-day hold period.
